PowerUpForMore is a FREE two-week electrical construction apprenticeship readiness program aimed at assisting Baltimore City students in applying to a union apprenticeship and securing a meaningful career in the trade.




PowerUpForMore Participants are:

Educated about multiple career pathways within the Electrical Construction industry.

Prepared for the IBEW Apprenticeship Program Application process (e.g. Aptitude Test Prep and Mock Interviews).

Provided hands on activities in a controlled setting and an opportunity to visit an active construction site.

Offered the option for ongoing guidance and support with IBEW apprenticeship application process following two-week readiness class.

Classes are held for two weeks:
Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM
Week 1: April 27 – May 1, 2026
Week 2: May 4 – May 8, 2026
*Class days and times may vary to accommodate
school calendars and site visits.
